"After the massive storm that came though over the weekend of October 18th, the Tribal Center was a disaster with downed tree limbs, leaves, and pollen cones all over the place. Michael Bailey and Michael Hjert did a masterful job getting the grounds cleared up."

"I have the pleasure of working with these four ladies who make up the Wellness Team at the Health Clinic. Each one of these providers go above and beyond for the people they care for. I am always amazed at their genuine care, concern and empathy for their patients. They have extremely full schedules, but are always willing to squeeze just one more person who needs them into their schedule, often during their lunch hours or before or after work. Their dedication is inspiring. I appreciate them and I hope everyone else does too."
The Next Shou-out goes to the Fish Hatchery Crew/Natural Rescources! HEY Natural Resources! Here is what your Co-Worker Hannah Jones had to say about you:
Natural Resources has been an invaluable asset to our outdoors education and Places classes. They've provided teaching for summer school, resources and teaching for our Places classes (including hunting a deer and teaching deer preparation). They are always willing to pass on traditional knowledge to our young ones. Also, the hatchery crew is always willing to help the Places Program and Outdoor Education educate our youth during field trips or summer programming. They have consistently helped us tour the facilities, talk about salmon lifecycles and even helped us do clam bakes and digging last summer during summer school. They have been true stewards in educating our kids about the importance of our salmon people.
Now we are going to the Cultural Center for a Shou-Out. This one goes to Laura Price and the Cultural Department. HEY Laura and Team! Here is what your Co-Worker Hannah Jones had to say about you:
I would also like to shout out Laura Price and the culture department. They have been so wonderful in providing cultural resources for use in classes and planning outings and classes with our Places kids and Outdoor Education.

“Steph Carpenter and Erica Hankin at the Youth Department have been so helpful in partnering for classes for our Places kids, providing rules for trips and outings and reaching out to make sure our schedules coincide. They are a wonderful partner to the education crew.”
