Greetings PGST Staff! Welcome to June Haʔ nəŋ Shout-Outs!

Morale and recognition in the workplace is FUNdamental. Thank you for using this form to recognize an employee for a specific act or having the kind of positive attitude that improves our workplace.

The goal is to provide a space for PGST Employees to Empower each other. It takes all of us to run this Government.

Ok let’s see who we’re talking about for JUNE!!!

So, who gets the first Ha̓ʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out for June? Let’s head over to Health Services and give a big shout out to Emily Arneson!! Emily is the Suicide Prevention Coordinator for PGST. Hey Emily! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"Emily has done an amazing job facilitating wellness events for the community in the past few months. Staying late and planning all of the great activities and food for the entire community.  Her dedication does not go unnoticed.  Thank you, Emily."

Next, we’ll head on over to the Career and Education Department. Everybody join me in giving a huge shout out to Lexy Jones, Janet Hsia, KayLee Jones, Trisha Ives and Lauren Moon! This amazing group of women are Academic Coaches and a brilliant Reading Coordinator. Hey Ladies! This is what your fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"Shout out to the Academic Coaches: Lexy, Janet, KayLee, and Trisha, and our Reading Specialist, Lauren Moon!  Your dedication makes a huge impact on our kids. This school year was a bit challenging, but you all showed up and were there for each one of our kids.  You are appreciated and loved so much and thank you for your dedication!"

 

Wow! Let’s keep em comin’!! Let’s head over to the Early Childhood Education department and give a Ha̓ʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out to Marie T-Herrick! Marie works for PGST as the EC Education Manager. Hey Marie!! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"Marie stepped up to present a session entitled "Staff Wellness and Mental Health Promotion using Conscious Discipline" at a national conference this week- National Indian Head Start Director's Management Conference in Billings, MT. She has been on a journey to grow and learn using tools to enrich our tribal early childhood education program. Her commitment is in her daily work at the center supporting staff, children and families."

 

Who’s next you say? Let’s head on over to the Child & Family Services Department (CFS) and give a shout-out to Star Hagen! Star works for PGST as the Kinship Caregiver Program Coordinator. Hey Star!! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"Star Hagen provided excellent education on how to gather oysters and cook them over a fire.  She was patient and explained the process very well."  

We got one more Ha̓ʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out to go! Let’s head over the Youth Center and give a Shout-Out to Joe Price! Joe works for PGST as a Youth Prevention Specialist. Hey Joe!! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"Joseph Price helps the children and staff at Early Childhood learn Song and Dance on a weekly basis.  He also provided photos and S'Klallam Language for us to make posters for families."
