Greetings PGST Staff!

Welcome to December Háʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Outs!

Morale and recognition in the workplace is FUNdamental. Thank you for using this form to recognize an employee for a specific act or having the kind of positive attitude that improves our workplace.

The goal is to provide a space for PGST Employees to Empower each other. It takes all of us to run this Government.

HERE ARE DECEMBER’S SHOUT-OUTS:

The first shout out we will be heading on over to the Elders Center. This is recognizing Ron Miguel III, Elders Cook/Activities Coordinator. HEY RON!  This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Ron is always cheerfully answering questions, attentive when he takes elders out and generally just amazing! Thank you Ron!”

Next recognition goes to the Health Services. This shout-out will be going to Jocelyn Valencia, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. HEY JOCELYN! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Jocelyn has done a fabulous job all year teaching departments about trauma informed care. She met with our department and explained the topic to us in terms we could understand. She frequently asked us if the material made sense and if we had questions. The examples she provided helped us see how to provide trauma informed responses to various work scenarios. We appreciate her!”

Now we are going to go to HR. This is going to Melody Bidtah, HR Manager. HEY MELODY! Here is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"Melody does an excellent job of preparing for our tenure (years of service) awards each year. She (along with Jenn) ensures that beautiful S'Klallam artwork is obtained so that employees have a variety of meaningful pieces to choose from. This takes a lot of coordination and preparation, and she ensures our employees are honored well each year."

For this shout-out we are staying with HR. This Shout-out is to recognize Audreena Tom, HR Recruiter. HEY AUDREENA! There us what a fellow co-worker has said about you:

"A lot of preparation goes in to interviewing, making offers, and screening employees before the year end holidays. Audreena ensured that the year end schedule was put out well in advance so that departments knew what to expect. She also changed up the usual interview dates as needed to accommodate busy schedules all of our departments wrestle with. Her hard work is noticed and appreciated."
