Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout Outs

September 2023

Greetings PGST Staff!

Morale and recognition in the workplace is FUN-damental. Please take a moment to read these and  to recognize an employee for a specific act or having the kind of positive attitude that improves our workplace. The goal is to provide a space for PGST Employees to Empower each other. It takes all of us to run this Government.

So who will our first Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout out go to? Joleen Sullivan the Director of Health Services! Hey Joleen! This is what a fellow employee has to say about you:

“This director always takes on new challenges with a smile and is an amazing event coordinator with how much she has on her plate. She goes above and beyond still to check in with her employees and make sure they feel appreciated and seen. As a director she does an incredible job of bridging any gaps we may have in communication/awareness, budgeting and wellness within our community here. She pays attention to the little things and that is what makes her stand out. She is a strong leader while being compassionate and that really makes her stand out to me.”

Our next Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout out goes to Denise Bower who is a Mental Health Counselor for Health Services. Hey Denise! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Denise goes above and beyond for the community, doing home visits, going with them to appointments, and working with some of our most challenges community members, always with a pleasant and hopeful attitude. She is always willing to help with community activities, staff functions and giving of her time, and love to the community that she serves. She is an excellent team player, and works very well within the integrated setting, and is always available to help with a stressed out employee. Her skill is unmatched, and is one of the best MH providers that I have ever worked with.”

Who does our next Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout out go to? Rory McLeod who works for PGST Planning Department. Hey Rory! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Have you seen the boat launch or houses being built at the top of the hill. The tribe benefits so much from his knowledge and experience. We are blessed.”

And our next Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout out goes to Karleigh Gomez, Emily Arnesen, and anyone who put on the 988 walk! Karleigh is from Youth Services and Emily works with the Suicide Prevention department. Hey ladies! This is what your co-worker Hannah Anderson has to say about you:

“Just wanted to thank everyone involved in coordinating the suicide prevention walk through 988 this month. It was so nice to read all the signs, and I thought the event was wonderful!”

Our next Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout out goes to Denise Bower! Whoa go Denise! That’s two Shout Outs this month! Hey Denise! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:
