Greetings PGST Staff!

Morale and recognition in the workplace is FUNdamental. Please JOIN US and recognize an employee for a specific act or having the kind of positive attitude that improves our work place. Maybe a certain employee completed a high stress project that will make a difference or went out of their way to provide support to an employee/client. 

The goal is to provide a space for PGST Employees to Empower each other. It takes all of us to run this Government.



 

Without delay, let’s get started! So who gets the first Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out? It will be James Streun from the Heronswood Garden!! Hey James! Here is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“James is a diligent worker. He is constantly making sure the work around the garden is taken care of. He is always willing to drop what he is doing to help anyone and everyone, regardless of what the task is. He is very appreciated at Heronswood! :)"

 

We got a lot for January! Let’s keep rollin’!! Next up we have Kaitlynn Gutierrez from Natural Resources. Hey Kaitlynn! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Not only is Kaitlyn the most accommodating coworker, but she is doing an amazing job covering for the work of two people. While our other administrative specialist is out on leave, Kaitlyn is managing our front of office like a pro. She never says no to helping any natural resource staff with a variety of tasks from travel, invoicing, ticket reconciliation, etc. On top of everything, she organized a weekly "crafternoon" during the week and is teaching me to weave during the lunch hour. I am so lucky to get to work with her!”

 

How amazing! Who is up next you say? We are headed over to the Human Resources Department to recognize Audreena Tom, Melia Moore, Lisa McDonald, Malissa Purser and Melody Bidtah!! Hey ladies!! This is what your co-worker Jennifer Wright-Tom has to say about you:

“I recently got pretty sick really fast. I tend to try and work through it. My team stepped up and sent me home sick. I had a large amount of work that had to be done. My amazing team stepped in and completed a large amount difficult tasks on top of their own while I was out. I want to put my hands up to each of you for all that you do. I feel so blessed to be a part of this amazing team.”

 

Wow! Let’s keep going. Next, we have Sanda Hankins from CFS Together For Children program! Hey Sanda, this is what Sonya Crocker Redbird has to say about you:

“She documents so much throughout her day. She is excited and wanting to connect with the families that join the program. I see her going up and beyond in her day to keep things together. Sanda is soft and compassionate. She wants to make a difference.”

We have some pretty incredible people to recognize! Let’s keep rollin’! Next up we have Sonya Crocker-Redbird who is also from Child and Family Services (CFS). Hey Sonya!! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“I was leaving the parking lot and I saw Sonya running in front of me chasing down a car to give them a bag that they had apparently forgotten.  She was running pretty fast so I assume the bag that she was giving them was very important.  It seems to me that she was going above and beyond to make sure that they had what they needed.” 

 

Feelin’ the appreciation! I’m feelin’ it. Let’s keep at it. Next we have Kim Krusi from Health Services! Hey Kim! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Kim acknowledged participates success when they graduate by providing cookies or brownies. She bakes whatever participates ask for.  She willing to provide treats even with a late request.”

 

We have another one coming from the Health Services department! This one is for our Health Director Jolene Sullivan. Hey Jolene! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Jolene truly listens to feedback provided and tries hard to address issues and concerns to improve the quality of care provided by our medical programs. She goes above and beyond to expand the services provided and making sure they are meeting the needs of the community the best they can. We are lucky to have her as the manager of our health programs.”

 

Our next Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out goes to Melia Moore from Human Resources! Hey Melia!! Come see what your fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Melia is consistently in the office early to prepare for her day. This allows her to step in and help other team members when an employee or job candidate is waiting for assistance. Recently, she overheard a coworker in another office had a coffee spill and jumped right in to help them clean it up without needing to be asked. We appreciate that she goes above and beyond for all.”

We’ve got some pretty amazing people! Let’s go to the next Shout-Out which is also from the Accounting department. Let’s give a shout-out to Greg Trueb! Hey Greg! This is what a Amanda Purser has to say about you:

Wow we have ANOTHER one for the Accounting Department!! Join me in recognizing Stacy Geiger, Bruce Youngberg, and Alice Bundalian! Hey amazing team!! This is what Jolene Sullivan has to say about you:

“The Health Services Department was without a Finance Manager for several months, and these employees jumped right in to assist and give guidance. They have stayed late, answered requests for help quickly, and taken on extra duties to keep the Health center running smoothly.  I also appreciate their willingness to use Teams so we can communicate quickly! I appreciate them all!”

 

Now we’re headed BACK to Human Resources to recognize Audreena Tom!! Hey Audreena! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Audreena is willing to accommodate team members from her own department and other departments as well. This past week she filled in at a meeting for coworkers that were out unexpectedly. She is willing to adjust her weekly schedule to meet urgent recruiting needs. She takes time to update forms and documents to make them more user friendly and clear. She is appreciated.”

 

We have another one from Human Resources!! Let’s join to recognize Danno Ives! Hey Danno! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Danno puts a lot of effort in to making training events special for employees. From adding chocolates to policy training folders to researching relevant quotes and statistics for training events, she puts a lot of thought in to making employees feel special and welcomed. She wants all employees to be comfortable and have a good orientation and training experience.”

Who is next for a Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out? We are staying in the Health Center to recognize Melissa Hill, Annie Strandberg, and Jessie Lemickson! Hey Ladies! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“The MAs at the health clinic have been hustling! Only 3 MAs working with multiple providers and covering each other during this sick season. Many times they work after hours to ensure all our patients get the care they need and deserve. They always maintain a positive attitude and are a true asset to the team. Thanks ladies, we appreciate you!”

So amazing!! Next let’s head over to Early Childhood Education to give a Shout-Out to Martin Brown. Hey Martin! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“We appreciate Martin providing breakfast, lunch and snack to hungry children and staff at the center! When our cook is out he has stepped up to be there for us...”

 

And our last Haʔ neŋ Shout-Out goes to Miranda Ives who is also from the Early Childhood Education Department. Hey Miranda!! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Miranda has supported the visiting University of Washington student nurses (5 each quarter) for the last 5 quarters! She helps them to connect to a truly wonderful tribal community and guides them in their project work to deliver something creative and supportive for our children, families and staff's health and well-being. Way to go!”
