Haʔnəŋ Cn Shout Outs header
Welcome to June 2023 Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Outs! We have a record high this month for employees empowering other employees. So what does that mean? It means you are taking it upon yourselves to boost moral in the workplace. Leadership has the opportunity to come from all positions in the PGST Tribal Government and some of you grabbed that opportunity & used it to lift up your fellow co-workers.

Let's get STARTED!! So who does the first Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out go to?

Stacy, here is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

They go above and beyond not only in their daily work but in assisting their coworkers and higher ups.

They are a key part to the training days and put their all into choosing employee incentives and activities.

Recently she shared a project that's been 13 years in the making that she personally worked on with the DSHS site visit and I think that deserves some appreciation/recognition for such a huge accomplishment!

She puts in the hard work and does it with a positive attitude!

Who's  next?

Stacy Geiger
Accounting Department

Stacy this is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

Stacy Geiger has gone out of her way to post journal entries for our department early so that we can do a better job in closing out our grants. Stacy is always willing to help in any way possible to make sure our financial statements are accurate and up to date.  Without her dedication we would not be able to do our jobs.

On to our next Haʔ nəŋ Cn Shout-Out......

David Kirkpatrick
Police Department

Officer Kirkpatrick this is what Misty Ives has to say about you:

Mr. Kirkpatrick is a top scholar when it comes to community policing. As you all know, this job can be difficult at times and rewarding at times. I've witnessed David in action and going above and beyond. Here is my personal witness; A tribal elder was in need of medical attention. David was first on the scene, and I got there shortly after. While being analyzed by paramedics, David stayed with the elder and explained everything that was happening. This seemed to help calm the elder. He walked with the elder to see him loaded into the ambulance. The very next day, David stopped at the elders house, knocked on the door and went in to make a personal check on the elder and see how he was doing. He didn't need to go back the next day and check on him, but he did. This shows me he really cares and understands the importance of our elders to our community. Thank you David for caring and making a difference. I will let you know that you gained confidence in the elder that day and that's a hard thing to pull off sometimes. Great job!!!

Next up we have............

Ashley Brown & Chris Sullivan
Utilities Department

Ashley and Chris this is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

These guys have been helping me with elder's energy logs whenever I ask them for help. They are skilled using that back hoe and get those pallets in that shed!

Technically this last one is for July but it let's get her in............

Susan Purser

Susan this is what a Maria Huynh has to say about you:

I wanted to give a shout out to Susan Purser. Child Support Payments are so crucial to the families we serve.  Susan went out of her way today to ensure that checks were process for our Program for Friday since this week was short week (4th of July).  She checked with front desk staff and receipting staff to make sure all of the checks have been receipted in.  She also worked through her lunch to get all of the child support payments in the system today.  I really appreciate her being patient and communicating with us.  This is not her first time going out of her way for us but I wanted to thank her.
