Haʔnəŋ Cn Shout-Outs April 2023

Haʔnəŋ Cn Shout Outs header

Welcome to this month's Haʔnəŋ Cn Shout-Outs! For those of you who don't know what a Haʔnəŋ Cn shout-out is, we are providing a platform for PGST employees to empower each other. In our S'Klallam Language 'Haʔnəŋ Cn' means 'Thank You'. Morale and recognition in the workplace is FUNdamental. We simply want to create an outlet where recognition can be made by employees for employees!

Our first Haʔnəŋ Cn Shout-Out goes will be going to an employee working for Health Service. The employee we are giving a shout-out to will be Denise Bower!

Denise this is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

Denise is such a treasure to have in Health Services. She genuinely cares for people, and it shows in her actions she takes to connect with people. She goes above and beyond to show people she'll be there for them. It is something to be admired for. <3

Our next Haʔneŋ Cn shout-out goes to......Jesse Lemickson in Health Services! Jesse, this is what your co-worker, Jennifer Simmons, has to say about you:

Jesse was supposed to attend a training but had a family member emergency and was delayed in leaving for the training. She choose  to come into work and help out anyway, thinking she may stay for half the day. The day ended up being a full day with a lot of urgent appointments scheduled the same day. Jesse juggled both doctor's schedules, answered various questions that arose from the front desk and from patients. She gathered together some medical supplies for a walk in patient, and she did it all with grace and a smile. I do not know how we would of managed with out her help that day! She certainly made everyone's job in the clinic much easier.

Our next Haʔnəŋ Cn shout-out goes to an employee in the Children & Family Services department (CFS). Way to go Sonya Crocker-Redbird! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

Sonya always has a smile and is all over the place. What I mean by all over the place? Well some days Sonya is helping at the elders center with lunch. Somedays Sonya is helping with the Community event from the beginning to the clean up. Sonya has helped my family members shop for their needs and taken them to important appointments. Donated items that were incredibly needed for community members and delivered food. How amazing. Sonya does a wide variety of things that supports the entire community and with a smile. I believe Sonya is an outstanding employee and community member. I put my hands up to you Sonya. Hanen Cn

We have one more Haʔnəŋ Cn shout-out to give. This employee works at the Front Desk and her name is Leanne Tom! Leanne, this is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

Leanne is always making sure that staff needs are met and she does so with a smile on her face. She will gladly come in on her day off to lend a helping hand making coffee, printing the weekly memo, and accepting mail. Leanne also remembers everyones Birthday and finds a way to celebrate them.

Way to go everybody! It takes everyone to run a Government. Sometimes all we need is a little boost to keep going. If you have someone you would like to give a Haʔnəŋ Cn shout-out to, please click on the link below and enter the information.
