Haʔnəŋ Cn Shout Outs header

Greetings PGST Staff! Welcome to August Háʔ nəŋ Shout-Outs!

Morale and recognition in the workplace is FUNdamental. Thank you for using this form to recognize an employee for a specific act or having the kind of positive attitude that improves our workplace.

The goal is to provide a space for PGST Employees to Empower each other. It takes all of us to run this Government.

Ok let’s see who we’re talking about for August!!!

The first shout out we will be heading on over to the Maintenance Department. This one is focused on THE ENTIRE CREW! Hey Maintenance! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about ya’ll:

“I would like to give a huge shout out to the maintenance crew for taking care of our yards, fixing what needs fixed and asks our opinion on how we would like it done. Thank you for smiling through the gritty work too, You guys are awesome!! :-P”

Who’s next you say? Let’s head over to the Early Childhood Education Department. This shout-out will be going to four amazing ECE staff. Chrissy, Elvira, Mistaya, and Ashley. HEY LADIES! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"These teachers have been doing a wonderful job, in all they do to support children and families."

Now let’s head on over to the Career & Education Department. Hannah Jones works for PGST as the Outdoor Education Program Coordinator. Hey Hannah! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Hannah Jones lead a berry walk n' talk to point out common plants and share knowledge! It was a great time and all the participants were able to share their experiences with the berries. Thanks for putting on great events!”

And now we are headed BACK to Early Childhood Education to give a Huge shout out to Rayna Espinosa, Chester Pineda, and the teachers in the RACOON CLASS! Hey guys!! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Rayna was able to coordinate with the grants department to allow our summer youth worker to volunteer in a classroom reading to the kids! I was teaching our summer youth worker about some of the funding behind ECE, and it was great to go in the classroom to see how it all ties together. The youth worker had a blast and I'm still getting "I know you!" shouts every time I pass by the playground :) Thanks Rayna for setting it up, and thanks to the teachers who helped facilitate! You guys are amazing!”

Let’s keep the good vibes goin’!! Now it’s time to head over to the Culture Department. Rowan Bunich works for PGST as a Cultural Program Assistant. Hey Rowan! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Rowan was a big help to me at S'Klallam days she stepped up and helped out at the talent show and at other parts of the weekend’s events, thank you Rowan!”

Where to next you say? Well let’s head on over to the Grants Department. Hannah Anderson works for PGST as a Grant Writer. Hey Hannah! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“Hannah Anderson is a gem!! I feel grateful to have her here as a PGST employee. The work she does is incredibly important, and she goes out of her way to be involved in community events and at Tribal employee events. Hanen cn Hannah! Thank you!”

Now let’s head over to the Health Services Department. Jocelyn Valencia works for PGST as the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Hey Jocelyn! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“I really appreciate the Trauma Informed Care training Jocelyn has been running. Often times we do not consider the fact we work with traumatized co-workers and the members of PGST (the community we are serving). Also, this gave insight into my own traumas and how I operate day to day wherever I am and whatever role I step into. AND the importance of self-care! I need to prioritize self-care. Any type of training that makes me a better person is greatly appreciated!! Hanen Cn Jocelyn! Much appreciation for the work you do!”

We’re staying with the Health Services Department for the next one. Let’s give a HUGE shout out to THE WHOLE NURSING TEAM AT HEALTH SERVICES!! Hey Team!! This is what a fellow co-worker has to say about you:

“I’d love to give a shout out to the nursing team for hacking a Nextgen feature with the consultant. This feature titles documentation making it clear at a glance who say the patient- nursing, CHR / CNA staff, case management or triage. Strong work and thank you team!”

And last but certainly NOT least, this shout out goes to multiple employees! Jolene Sullivan who is our Health Services Director, Talia DeCoteau who works for PGST as a Billing Specialist, Alice Bundalian is our Finance Director, Cherie Jacobs works for PGST as our Senior Accounting Assistant, and Stacy Geiger as PGST’s Senior Accountant in Finance. Hey Ladies! This is what your fellow co-worker has to say about you:

"During the last 4 months, I have needed a lot of extra help, guidance, and some new teachings on processes to go with current duties to fully be able to complete those processes.   All five ladies have been a huge help and made time to explain and answer questions, always with a welcoming smile and never let on how much (I think) I was interrupting or asking too many questions.  I greatly appreciate them for their time, help, and teamwork.  Thank you, ladies! :)"

Wow we have some GREAT shout outs for August!! It only takes a few minutes to brighten someone’s day and boost morale in the workplace. My hands up to those who gave the shout outs AND the one’s we are talking about today!
